Warning Signs of Hernia

Most hernias aren’t immediately life-threatening, but they don’t go away on their own.

Sometimes they can require surgery to prevent dangerous complications!

A hernia is the abnormal exit of tissue or an organ, such as the bowel, through the wall of the cavity in which it normally resides.
Many hernias occur in the abdomen between your chest and hips, but they can also appear in the upper thigh and groin areas.

Early medical care and lifestyle changes can minimize symptoms. However, surgery is the only way to effectively treat a hernia!

Consult Dr. Tarun to learn more about a hernia and its treatment.

What Could Cause Hemorrhoids ?

Did you know?

About 50 percent of adults experienced the symptoms of hemorrhoids by the age of 50.

To prevent or avoid worsening hemorrhoids, avoid straining during a bowel movement. Drinking enough water can keep your stool from hardening.

Use the restroom as soon as you feel a bowel movement coming on to prevent hemorrhoids from developing.

Exercise regularly to prevent becoming constipated and don’t sit for long periods, especially on hard surfaces like concrete or tile.

Consuming foods that are high in dietary fiber can minimize the risk of developing hemorrhoids in the future.

Consult Dr. Tarun to learn more about hemorrhoids and its treatment options.

Symptoms of Hemorrhoids

As you age, your risk of hemorrhoids increases!

That's because the tissues that support the veins in your rectum and anus can weaken and stretch.

Hemorrhoids (HEM-uh-roids), also called piles, are swollen veins in your anus and lower rectum, similar to varicose veins.
Hemorrhoids can develop:
1. Inside the rectum (internal hemorrhoids)
2. Under the skin around the anus (external hemorrhoids).

The best way to prevent hemorrhoids is to keep your stools soft, so they pass easily.

Consult Dr. Tarun to know about the lifestyle changes to prevent or manage haemorrhoid symptoms.
